These are some character designs made for a medical TV show aimed at kids.

 

The original idea was to have an androgenous robot who could project internal organs on his surface to show what was going on inside the body. The development process slowly made him more human until we ended up with actual human kids in holographic suits.

Eventually it was decided that it would be best if they were real kids. Here are some final concepts with varieties in costume, character and style. We also decided to handle the inside of the body with an xray character.
