Full graphic novel spread. Using watercolour, fine liner, photographs and embroidery. (2012)

Media choice: watercolour and fine liner. I knew applying water to the fineliner would make the line bleed purple so I utilised this throughout. This was my first attempt at a graphic novel and I feel a background in graphics would have helped.

Textured backgrounds were a feature - I think it makes things so much more interesting

My adorable puppy Ozzy was the star!

This is what the images looked like after applying the photo to the drawn background. I then stitched onto the image to create things such as the lead which is missing in the above photo.
