Earlier this year I was assigned to do 3 full page illustrations for Scientific American Magazine, Special Report on State of the World's Science 2013, so those are finally published, and my massive thanks for great art direction goes to Jason Mischka.

Shortly on articles illustrated:
a) Financing labs: old investments bringing today's innovations, and today's investments bringing future innovations. I had a multi-channel pipette in my head for years, so this is a double portion of joy, as I've finally got a chance to include it to the illustration.
b) Advantages and disadvantages of global scientific collaboration (teamwork, sharing resources and knowledge).
c) Cultural issues stopping the progress of science in Mexico: having low tolerance for failing, danger of being painfully stigmatised for a minor mistake.
