I created this book with the intention of emphasizing reuse and taking the old and making it new again. Each of the four mini books mounted on each plexiglass square was once a dirty old paperback laying unused on a thrift store shelf. I took each of the books and cut them on a guillotine cutter and then began dissecting their insides. I tipped in pieces of handcut Helvetica and images from the insides of the books. Each book is an explosion of narrative and image meant to be viewed from all sides, hence being sewn onto plexiglass.
