A series of sneaker collages
(Personal project)
Two of my very close friends share the same birthday month in January. They both collect and adore luxury sneakers as a hobby. To celebrate their friendship I made a 4 piece series of picture collages.

Gucci Men's Rhyton Gucci logo leather sneaker
Paired with their favourite quote by Gucci is one of their favourite, basic go-to on a casual day.
I added elements like vector hands from 'The creation of Adam', flying 'angel babies' that was roman styled painted and the original typography of the quote.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Zebra" sneaker
This product is one of their first few sneakers, that actually earned a permanent place in their wardrobe.
I incorporated Daruma dolls to represent their foreseeable wishes that comes with adulthood. The eyes of the Daruma doll are to be coloured only when a wish is fulfilled, I 'painted' both eyes of one of it with the 0 from the sneaker's typeface to gift them a '好彩头' (A symbol for good luck).

Gucci Men's Ace embroidered sneaker
Even though we are of the same age, both of them are actually considered 'tigers' in the Chinese Zodiac cycle. Both of them adore and briefly owned this pair while they constantly update/ increase their wardrobe through trades and sales. I wanted to gift them a piece that is non-repetitive, unique and meaningful instead of 3 copies of the same poster.
This two-piece poster has fabric elements like 2 shawls and an embroidered famous tiger headpiece from Gucci.
Overall I had a lot of fun creating these works,
