21st Specialty Brew Label Design

This was a fun project for a friend's 21st. The beer was brewed as her birthday present, and to make it extra special I designed a label to go on it. Even tricked the birthday girl into posing as a model! I had a few different attempts at keeping the label simple enough to act as a reusable template and a couple of attempts to find out the best application to the bottle. A lot of trial and error and a lot of fun!
The template design
Label design in situ.
The design was printed on to acetate, then cut out with a scalpel.
We ended up using clear adhesive sheets cut to size, positioning the template on top then spray-painting the design. The template was sprayed with fixative to keep it in place, and to stick down any loose ends. The stickytape was on hand to reattach anything that was damaged in the process.
The spray-painted labels
The labels applied to the bottles. I used pointed cotton buds to clean them up a bit.
I printed out a bigger version of the label on acetate to apply to the outside of the box (I stitched it on).
The finished product!
