Poster Design

The following is a set of posters I have designed for various clients. Their respective contexts are as follows:

'The Fall of Socialism' was a design I created for an event in which notable economist Yuri Maltsev came to speak on the topic of socialism in the current economic era. As part of a celebration of United Nations Day, I used iconography reminiscent of both socialism (as found in the upraised fist and radiating red and yellow rays) and of the United Nations (as seen in the laurel wreath surrounding the hand).

'There's No Kerning in Hell' was created in an effort to display an illustrated typeface I created in 2011. Each character was hand drawn and then scanned and traced in Adobe Illustrator in order to create vector images that could be used in a font design software.

The third and final poster was created for an annual event hosted by Carthage College's chapter of Model United Nations called 'Fight Against Apathy.' My approach was to design a typographic poster that highlighted by the immediate topic at hand (human trafficking) as well as the more general focus of the event in which our organization sought to combat ignorance and apathy to world issues.
