I created this project for my digital animation class. The assignment was to recreate, reinterpret, and re-imagine a title sequence of our choice. I decided to animate a title sequence for one of my favorite shows, My Brilliant Friend.
To create this animation, I used the Photoshop timeline feature to animate frame by frame, rotoscopes of the characters. I then animated the entirety of the sequence in Adobe After
Effects.
The song I chose for this title sequence is the same one used in the show's actual title sequence. The song is called "Whispers" by Max Richter.

I drew a lot of inspiration from the visuals and themes of the show. One of the two main characters, Lenu, is an author and narrates the story. Her role as a writer is important to the show, which inspired me to use paper textures, ink illustrations, and type writer text in my animation.
