Concept Imaging Project: Lunar 4G

My Concept Imaging Project

NASA recently announced that there are plans to set up a lunar 4G network on the moon. They plan to use it for things like navigation and video calling, and they believe that it'll help pave the way towards a long-term base on the moon and beyond.

My job was to seek out the main meaning of the article and how to translate it into four images that serves a purpose for my target audience.

The Main Meaning of the Article:
Progress and Advancement. “The first steps towards a life away from Earth”

Target Audience:
In general, the target audience I’m looking at are the ones who are interested in whatever NASA’s doing but are still rather skeptical of their actions.

The first image is based off Russian Constructivism Propaganda and its purpose is meant to convince people that the 4G Network will be successful. No doubts about it.

The second Image is based off of Roy Lichtenstein's Pop Art style. The purpose of the image is to show the target audience that the 4G Network on the moon can help connect people with the astronauts, no matter the distance.

The third image is based on cartoons shown in the New Yorker and its purpose is meant to mock the lunar 4G network, depicting that it may not be as practical as NASA hopes.
The fourth image is based on vector illustrations and its purpose is to show the endless possibilities that the lunar 4G network can bring for the moon and us.
