Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 2 Reveals

Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 2 Reveals Horrifying Truths About Reiner’s Past
Attack on Titan just proved its worth by not following the anime cliches from the 90s. The latest episode in Attack on Titan season four revealed the world’s devastating nature outside and inside the Paradis walls. The third episode, named The Door of Hope, is a depressing take on Reiner’s past, and it scrapes Reiner’s nature as a human being and what are the consequences that led him into this unparalleled universe of self-sacrifices.
In the first and second episodes, fans witnessed a four-year time skip in the story, and in the third episode, Hajime Isayama shared a horrifying past of Eren, Reiner, and all the survey corps members while they were inside the walls.
After a history of deaths, betrayals, wars, and backstabbing, Eren finally makes up his mind to take revenge against every outsider of the wall. In his quest, Eren goes above and beyond the conventional way to get revenge against the outside world’s humans.
As Marley forces continue to plan attacks on the Paradis island, some individuals on both sides of the wall get the gist that neither is responsible for these attacks. Eren, along with his half-sister Mikasa, were victims of Marley’s government, who wanted to gain the powers of Attack Titan and Founding Titan to control the world like they used to. Reiner, Bertolt, and Annie Leonhar were victims of the Marlian system. They belonged to the Eldian category of citizens, used by the government to fight for the Marley government.
It’s good to go back to understand the present. Episode three takes viewers back to the meetings and the misunderstanding between Reiner and Eren as both the soldiers were protecting what was precious to them. The episode highlighted the cunning behavior of war and how all the main characters were just children who were forced to fight against each other to fulfill the government conspiracies and the Reiss family’s constant thirst for power.
The episodes dwell into the past about Reiner and how he is the only one who knew about life on both sides of the wall. As a soldier, Reiner has to follow his orders but somewhere deep down in his heart, he is aware that what their government is doing is wrong, and the consequences will be fatal. Reiner’s conflict lies between his loyalty to his country and what he has seen inside the walls.
Even though he is destined to follow the government order, Reiner will end up living with a burden on his heart that he could have made the difference a long time ago, but now it is too late to go back. Eren and co are advancing in their battle strategies, and Zeke, Porco, Gabi, Porco, and Pieck are looking for an opening to take back the Attack Titan and Founding titan from Eren and Paradis Island.
