Shoop — is a cashback platform. We earn money by affiliate commission. The basic principle is: user comes to our site, sees banner like "Buy something at "Our Partner" and get 5% of your purchase back", clicks the banner and is redirected to our partner's site, we track user by cookies, partner pays us for bringing a new customer, we share largest part of this money with our user.

I have moved to Berlin to join the company in April 2019. Website and limited mobile app had already existed those days. I started to work under redesign of the mobile app. Currently I'm the only product designer in the company and I work under website features and internal CMSes for sales and support teams, but still mobile app is my main product.

I developed the new design system, that on one hand shares styles between iOS and Android applications, but on the other hand respects and keeps platform's native components. The service is targeted on German german-speaking market and I started to learn German only in Germany, so all user interviews are conducted by product owner and I rely on her in this aspect. So I receive tasks from product owner's backlog, from support team's feedback and from my own hypothesis.

I intentionally won't use here beautiful concept screen, instead I want to show the most challenging.

I used my experience working in a bank to redesign a payout section, which has gone well I think, due to support team say me that now nobody ask them any question about payout process on mobile.

Support may seem quite boring, but actually it was very challenging to build "Claims" section, cause it is as complex as the rest of the app, due to all variety of under the hood business processes invisible for our user.

I have introduced format of stories in order to give users better understanding of how does it all work and to decrease the amount of support ticket, also to deliver some marketing stuff and to introduce new features after app updates.
