Modular Workstation Computer

A vision of a modular work computer, where elements can be more easily replaced or upgraded to extend the lifespan of the other components. The goal is a reduction of the ever-growing stream of electronic waste, and a greater engagement with the most important working tool nowadays - the computer.
All components, whether processor, memory or monitor arm are attached via a universal connector within a large modular system.
I've explored the use of 3D-printed metals as passive heatsinks. Generative Design allows for a very efficient layout, perfectly balancing conduction and convection.
These forms were generated using nTopology's nTop Platform, which has many great uses for engineering, as well as surface treatment for industrial design.
