1984, George Orwell
In the book, the problem of totalitarianism lies in the global surveillance of people. Everywhere you can find posters with the words "Big Brother is watching you", "War - Peace, Freedom - Slavery, Ignorance - Power". Winston Smith is a member of the Outer Party, the Ministry of Truth, a 39-year-old man who has spent his life falsifying history and substituting facts. Like a typical dystopian hero, thoughts of the following type come to his mind: “What if we live wrong? Is there another life? ”

After reading this book, I decided to come up with a cover for it. My idea was to convey the principles of a totalitarian regime and endless surveillance using a metaphor. The puppet personifies a person who is endlessly controlled, depriving him of the opportunity to choose and control his own life. Red symbolizes power, blood, war (which is also discussed in the book throughout the plot).
