Packaging Project: Ilex
A classic and timeless look for a new and refreshing Yerba Mate drink.
We were instructed to design vintage looking beverage packaging, which included the bottle label as well as the carrier. Otherwise, we had free rein to design what we wanted. For this project I had developed a brand of yerba maté aptly named Ilex. Keeping the design simple and classic, the colours chosen were a dark green to emphasize the earthy nature of a tea on an off-white background to give an aged and antique look. I had gone with a stubby brown bottle to truly drive home the vintage and classic feel, as well as protect the beverage from the suns rays.
