I wanted to create a short series of outcomes that explored illegible type using the chosen word "clean" while practicing the design principles and elements, without creating or deconstructing the type itself. I wanted to demonstrate the versatility of type also, as during my initial research into illegible type I found that most examples were elaborate display fonts or deconstructed lettering.

Here is a screenshot from my development period in which I was troubleshooting what to put on each page and how to explore each element effectively. Notice the varied sizes, colours and repetition here. I wanted to explore the use of scale and repetition in my designs, but also emphasis. I used emphasis by creating enough negative space between the repetition and the title that I was trying to emphasise, the use of a full stop also helped with this as the full stop connotates a statement being made.
