The Goketsu Playing Cards were inspired from the intricate and colourful visual elements of Musha-e, traditional Japanese woodblock printing featuring portrayals of warrior figures, and court cards based on the colourful characters of Suikoden, a tale of a band of Robin Hood-esque hero bandits.
The tuck case uses quality paper stock from GMUND in Germany which was then letterpressed and manufactured in Hong Kong. The cards were printed by USPCC in the U.S.
