For the project double-life I made a series of 3 paintings each with ambiguity, as a mirror of reality. The project symbolizes on this topic. One can shape his/her own story for the paintings in Double-Life and that's what gives it meaning: art is necessarily connected with 'philosophy', in a general form as 'thinking further than common sense' and if this makes you think further than the paint and the canvas, but instead lets you look into the image as a story, then my goal has been achieved.
The first painting, Alienation, shows this ambiguity, both in emotion as in composition. The person reflected in the mirror looks as smooth and new as possible, yet shows a certain restraint, fear, as if he is frozen in another reality. The second is a rather blunt demonstration, in a tattoo, with similar background and situation. It is ment to show there is always something more to something we see as a banality.
My last artwork is discussed on it's own project page, which you can view here:http://www.behance.net/gallery/Anger/11131377
