Concept Bubble
Abstract
With the increasing number of vehicles, the street has shifted from a human-centered space to a vehicle-centered space, the street became wider to suit the increasing need of transportation. Natural communications that used to happen on the street have been diminished. Can we re-socialise our street and have interaction with others when we are traveling on the road? This project "Concept Bubble" speculates how autonomous vehicles can give us the ability to “bubble up” with others when we are traveling on the road. It intends to celebrate a more cohesive society by encouraging people to interact with others on the road and It also provided a possible direction for automotive companies who are changing from automotive manufacturers to mobility service providers.

The way people exchange information is shifted from face to face interaction to telecommunication due to the drastic development of ICT.

Companies like Facebook and Google uses algorithm to control our information intake, information cocoon could be formed.
Material Simulation
If we picture individual as bubbles, can we design a vehicle that can connect together on the road like a swarm of bubbles? When soap bubble meet in the air, instead of merging together, they bounce back. But if we put a medium in between them, they merge together immediately.
