Escape, Modular Travel Backpack

Improving the communication between the user and the product.
The project brief was to adhere to problem areas of backpack travel such as; Back pain, weight distribution and item organisation. Users are recommended to carry no more than 15% of their overall bodyweight, however this is not always the reality. Excessive use of a heavy backpack can lead to curvature of the spine and other long-term effects.

The aim is to infiltrate the market to tailor to the needs of young backpackers. Integration of biomimetic design can better meet the varying user needs as well as improve the product's lifespan.

The modular panier of the bag has the ability to contract to less than 6 times its potential volume and thus reduce space - a frequent commodity when traveling.
