Capstone Farm Country Park, in Kent, covers 114 hectares of former farmland set on the North Downs. There is a variety of habitats within the park, including ancient woodlands, old orchards, a freshwater lake, meadows and hedgerows.
The site is a leisure time hub in the local area and beyond, all year round. The main source of information at the park, the visitor and education centre, was not a very welcoming or stimulating environment. The client wanted to make it visually exciting and interactive for visitors and school groups alike.
The walls were dressed in vinyl graphics depicting an almost dream-like graphic vision of the park, full of vegetation, wildlife and families enjoying the open space. Shaped information panels were mounted at various points around the room, along with spinning 'food chain' blocks and the Animal Homes spinning wheel.
The client was so pleased with the initial install that the project was extended, twice, to eventually cover the entire public area of the centre.
