Former residents of the Sulukule's historical neighborhood who lived within the Theodosian walls, lied down for the construction of new luxury buildings (right). After six years of the Sulukule neighborhood’s rebuilding declaration, these residents still live side by side with the area where they lived once, in degraded houses allocated to them, whose rent they can not afford and that will also be demolished in a short time.
Currently, the area where the district stood is fenced, out of sight of the old residents, keeping in secret what is going on inside.
