Kolbeinn Ísólfsson

A trophy designed for a competition where the aim is to create value from useless or used things.
We wanted to make sure that the ideology of the competition would be reflected by the trophy and so we used the words fresh, simple and innovation as our focus point.

Skaparinn (translates as ”the maker” or “the creator”) is nothing but a chunk of aluminium seen from one side, but on closer inspection the real value of the aluminium shines through as the symbolic form of a cup. By using the negative of the cup, we take a fresh look at this symbol for trophy, known from the origin of the Olympic Games. At the same time we give the aluminium chunk a new purpose just like the winners of the competition have done with their projects.

Skaparinn was designed for Snilldarlausnir Marel
