The KISO Automated Cell Laboratory takes the complex process of acquiring consistent cell isolates and automates it into a closed system for use in diagnostic laboratories and research.

Tangram Design provided early stage design guidance to help determine the appropriate size and distribution of primary internal components. Early massing studies were tested with rough foam and cardboard models until a suitable configuration was found. 

CAD development with Solidworks models and Keyshot renderings led to higher resolution prototypes using urethane castings, CNC machining, and 3d printed parts.

Tangram provided final 3d documentation for all custom injection molded components including Color Material & Finish (CMF) support for multiple color-ways. Tangram also provided wireframes and design for the system's User Interface as well as rendered animations used to guide the operator through various process scenarios.
