Nature Immunology: Women in Immunology Cover Art

Original cover art created for a focus issue on Women in Immunology. I used simple shapes and strong outlines to give the characters presence. I brought in texture and energy with repeating pattern and used bold colors that are eye-catching, without being overtly masculine nor feminine. The layering of the silhouettes and upward-sloping composition of them nods to forward movement and progress. The illustration was created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Artwork is my own.
