The Despot’s Masquerade

In this series, I wanted to create a series of hyper-realistic masks depicting our current administration. These men have divided the country and worsened our political discourse. By turning these men’s faces into masks, it illuminates the dark cover under which work while simultaneously exposing them for who they truly are. Everything here is made with a .3 H graphite, mechanical pencil and each drawing was then cut out afterwards with a blade. All value has been achieved through hatching with no blending.
