I was absolutely thrilled to be asked by my brother to design the invitations for his wedding, and have used the opportunity to experiment with hand drawn type. In the process I have learned a lot about letter form and how type takes it shape, ultimately teaching myself how to convert hand-rendered type into vector shapes and laying it out in a way ready to be pubished.
This project has been a very personal one for me and since its inception I have gained a huge interest in type and have been unable to stir my mind from it. I would like to thank my Dad for giving me his rotring Schnell-Zeichenplatte drawing board, without it I would not have been able to have created this piece to the same accuracy.
