A website where users can find fun things to do in their area or when traveling.
Design stage 1: Wireframe
Header & nav
Navigation is up top with a search box to the right. This makes it easier for users that know what their looking for, to quickly find it. Otherwise, there is a "Browse" tab in the navigation, for the users who are just looking around to get inspired.
CTA
Underneath the header and nav, there's an area where a hero image can be placed as background. This can also be a rotating slideshow of background images. On top of the background, there's a Headline with text to capture the viewer, which leads to the CTA button on the right side.
Both the search area and the CTA is placed on the right side of the screen, because this is where the users (mostly right-handed) have a tendency to click much faster and use these elements.
Design stage 2: Mockup, which has the actual text, images and colours added
UI Login
When a user hovers over the login button in the top navigation, a drop down appears for the user to be able to login to their account on the website, without having to click. This makes the process much smoother, easy and quick.

Browse Page
This is how the Browse page looks like. Using a flat design style, the elements are placed side by side on a grid layout, with 0px margins on all sides
