Human Zoo (2020)

Earlier this year, people all around the world were forced to stay indoors, have limited contact with each other and only leave their cramped-up spaces under special circumstances. Freedom of movement was limited and often unattainable.
What a peculiar experience it must’ve been for the birds, animals and plants who could now observe US from the outside, trapped inside our cages, unhappy and depressed.
Oh, the irony.
This illustration was created for the virtual group exhibition, Pandemic Pandemonium, curated by myself on behalf of Stellenbosch Academy of Design and Photography's Illustration Department.
