"Diwa" [DEE-wa] (Filipino) noun - Spirit, consciousness, or soul

 

Diwa: Warriors of Lore is a comic book project by Gab Madrid currently in development. It features a group of people chosen by creatures from folklore to wield their ancient element powers and use them for the greater good. Diwa stated out as a quick project in art school with the title Diwa: Spirit of Fire on 2010. It focuses on a single character, and how he has been granted the power of fire by the Kapre.
