Pixelation is a remix of three different Quake III frag movies I produced between early and late 2010. All movies were created for the purpose of familiarizing myself with the Q3MME mod and its cinematic camera paths. The films were released in late 2010 and early 2011 and were featured on the official Quake III Movie Maker Edition ProBoard and own-age, a popular platform that was well known for hosting high quantities of spectacular Quake III movies.

The film was re-edited in September 2020 to celebrate its 10 year anniversary in October of that same year. The film shifted from a regular frag movie to a more experimental and mysterious mood-like short film in the process. Another re-edit took place in August of 2023 and expanded upon the film's visual art style and soundtrack.
