Modus

Fans describe the Modus furniture store in Berlin as Germany’s most important design gallery.
Modus has been a forum for design in Berlin since 1964. Many furniture designers and major furniture brands have been presented at Modus in special exhibitions. This design expertise is used not only by private customers wishing to furnish their spaces with style and quality but also by many architects who work together with Modus to plan large-scale construction projects.
Heine/Lenz/Zizka has been serving Modus’s needs for almost twenty years.

Website

In June 2012, the new Modus website went live – Heine/Lenz/Zizka was responsible for its concept, design, text, videos, and programming. For us, it was important to present Modus as self-assured but also reserved, to showcase it as a presentation platform for design products and design teams while also giving expression to the longevity of the firm, which has been in existence since 1964.

Modus advises, plans, helps customers furnish their spaces, and actively contributes to the design conversation with in-store exhibitions as well as with publications in a magazine-like blog.

Modus would like to be a discussion partner for every one of its customers and provide him or her with know-how. Hence a special highlight is the introduction of the team in the “About Us” section of the site, which is modeled on the typecase principle. In every window, a video showing a member of the team in action with a piece of furniture runs in autoplay mode.
