This image is an editorial illustration that I did as our final project for the semester. We had to create an illustration that would go along with the story, "Grackles Raise Hackles". Grackles are big ugly but colorful birds that have beady yellow eyes. They travel in swarms and can often be mistaken for crows. The sound they make resembles that of a squeaky door hinge.
