The Power is a thrilling feminist fiction reversing the roles of power between men and women through a literal biological power. I wanted to capture the shock of the book in the cover with bold anarchic design and custom typography. I played with photo compilation to create an eerie and disjointed composition. The author wasn't subtle so why should the book cover be. The colours are reminiscent of political and war-time propaganda and add the the urgency of the novel.Below is depicted the front cover and spine. This book was part of my #100bookproject where I develop a book cover a day for 100 days.
