Over the years, Amnesty International has successfully lobbied despots, dictators and tyrants to stop their illegal acts of violence, punishment and detainment through the use of letter writing.

 

We designed press ads to highlight how one letter can make a difference. Each layout was created to look like a sheet of stamps, which highlighted brutal acts of crime. However, sheet of stamps also had one missing stamp across a key part of the layout; detaching the tyrant's illegal act from the victim and symbolizing hope for the victim with a simple letter.

 

The message was simple: One letter can make a difference.
