In my spare time there’s nothing I like better than to get away from my computer and draw with ‘actual’ markers on ‘actual’ paper. Over the last couple of years I filled numerous sketchbooks, with ‘Chain' being one of my favourite drawings. It’s a figurative work which also possesses an abstract quality. This, to my standards, makes it a successful and independent drawing. When Studio Pitis e Associati asked me last month for something abstract to illustrate ’the sharing economy’ for Wired Italia, this was one of the sketches I showed them. I’ve redrawn it digitally for this purpose, and it just felt so rewarding I’m now redrawing several of them. I will have them printed on a larger size to sell in my shop. I’m very excited about them and can’t wait to share the results!
