Triumph in Solitary Confinement
March of this year started and we are all busy. Making different plans for the summer is never an option. My sister will enter college so we need to be ready because we are both taking up the education course. So I think summer 2020 will never be happy. I am currently teaching the kids of SJCCC as a requirement of my nstp subject when I heard a news that COVID 19 escalate all throughout the country. Therefore leading the government to a toughest decision and that is placing the whole Luzon to enhance community quarantine. I am frustrated and at the same time saddened by the announcement.  We are supposed to host a large event for the kids of SJCCC as a sign of thanksgiving, we are ready and this happens. All our efforts and hardships became useless.
Sunday, March 15, 2020 is my mother’s 39th birthday. Even if the news about lockdown is all over the place we still pursue our travel to Manaog Church. Everyone is in panic during this day. Gossip about the virus had reach the people around the church. Despite all the problems that we encountered we are happy that we had visited the church before the lockdown.
To cut the story short we spent our 3 months together. Everyday we wake up seeing one another, eating together from breakfast, lunch and dinner, playing uno cards during our empty time except Sunday and a lot more. Lockdown made us realized that our bond as a family matters.
Of course we also had our problems during ecq. Bills are coming, we doesn’t have enough food to eat, officials are strict in implementing the rules giving my parents a hard time buying foods and some more problems. But we are very blessed because we are safe and we had enough money.
While people are mad for what this virus had caused our family is in triumph receiving a very good news. My tita is bearing a child made from lockdown. If she would be a girl we will name her Corona Venus, then if he is a boy his name would be Enhance Marcus. Kidding aside we may not spend our summer like we used to be but  we will be soon welcoming our 14th cousin and he or she will be our triumph in this solitary confinement.
