In this project we created the logo for Davide Roma, an Italian menswear brand. Davide Roma is a luxury brand specialized in exclusive suits, cashmere and silk garments.

Considering the elegance of the brand, we chose to create a monogram with its initials. 

The upper part defines the letter “D”, which extends into the lower part to complete the letter “R”. The two letters are defined by a thread that wraps around itself and enters the eye of a needle. The use of needle and thread recalls the sartorial character of the brand and its care in the realization of every single piece.

To regularize the shape of the letters, we initially built a geometric structure identified by the intersection of several circles. Starting from this structure we then chose the individual elements of the curves able to outline the monogram in a highly geometric way.

To the monogram we finally added the extended name of the brand, creating a custom font. In order to recall the classic style of the brand, we opted for a serif font, however, creating very subtle graces and maintaining a minimalist modern style.

Finally, we created some mockups to visualize the actual application of the logo on the sign, labels and packaging.
