PROJECT | Percy & Reed East Interior
Having found a well loved Grade II listed building in London’s Spitalfields, Percy & Reed’s brief to Sibling was to create a salon space that reflected all of the character of the brand, while respecting the site’s heritage. Paul and Adam (Percy & Reed) wanted the salon to feel welcoming and unpretentious – somewhere clients would be happy to come and hang out, but also functional and a great place to work.
The result is a unique salon that reflects the brand and includes playful references to its previous life as a banana and tomato merchants throughout. We made subtle introductions everywhere, from the windows to the floor, that give a nod to its heritage – including repurposing Tomato Ketchup bottles as hand wash and lotion and finding, drawing and designing lots of nice quotes and things to decorate the salon and the walls of The Jimmy Choo.
