At the same time the Australian government announced it would no longer allow the sales of incandescent light bulbs, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia requested the development of a brand for an environmentally conscious credit card loyalty product. Proceeds from credit card sales support the reduction of CO² greenhouse gases, water preservation efforts and other environmental causes helping to create a balance between what consumers spend and what they save.
