This project was executed for IKSTINGKT in conjunction with Conceptual Artist Nix Davies;

IKSTINGKT is a large-scale public art work that raises provoking thoughts & action to solutions using the current poaching issue and threat of the Rhinoceros as the voice for beasts, birds, fish and conservation alike. It raises the conscious awareness of the long-term effects of our actions as humans. The viewer is able to walk amongst the majestic beasts and feel a sense of abundance, a concept that is alien to our reality.

From an original design, the Rhino had to be scaled up to life size, and adjusted accordingly to fit manufacturing and material limitations. The parts were individually routed from 18mm plywood;

laminated ensured ideal structural quality.
