A play titled "Hum Badlenge, Yug Badlega" (We Change, An Era Changes) was performed by community based development workers in the villages of Dhar, Alirajpur and Jhabua districts of Madhya Pradesh, India, in July 2013.

The group of 16 actors/ activists put up six performances on the theme of youth and migration through a process called participatory communication and action, facilitated by Eka, Bhopal (www.eka.org.in)

The play stops at a crossroad; a dilemma. The group then interacts with the audience, and invites them to participate in their play. A passive audience wakes up, and finds itself blurring the lines of performers and viewers.

At the end of the process, the play is taken over by the audience, who now determine how the play should end.

This series of photos therefore, is not about the play at all :)
