Octopus Gourd

An octopus inside of a gourd is it an enemy, a friend or simply an object to use for decorations.

Concept Art:
Did some studies to get an idea on how to incorporate both an inorganic and organic look to the 3d model.
Octopus Gourd Turnaround Video:
Pila

A mischievous racer of a young flan girl in the Go-Mobiles children's racing game who is competing in the Go-Mobiles Dimensional Cup for a chance to win and be granted one wish in order to create her own candy kingdom.

Pila Concept Art:
These were a few rough drafts of the character to help get a feel for the style of the 3d model.

Beatrice

A small forest spirit that looks like a red panda who is incredibly shy and acts as a companion/guide to the main protagonist for the Elements of Infinity game. It is a magical fantasy adventure set in the future

Beatrice Concept Art:
Various renditions of the same creature that I then took various attributes and themes like the mushroom, beaded backpack necklace, tail, and the theme of a small forest spirit which resulted into the creation of the 3d model version.
Beatrice Model Sheet:
Again showcasing how the final 2d version of Beatrice turned out.

Toagon

A toad/snake hybrid that has the body of a toad and the tail of a snake.  Now this creature is a major predator who resides in a specific forest/swampy area in the world of Pixie Dust, a fast-paced, dystopian single-player adventure game in which the player must enslave pixies and collect treasure.

Toagon's Concept Art:
A few studies featuring the combination of different features of a snake and frog/toad.
Toagon's Model Sheet:
The final 2d version of the frog/snake hybrid.

Welcome to Carterhaugh Travel Poster

A travel poster based on “The Young Tamlane” story by Mary MacGregor that depicts a warm and inviting scene of a vast valley with singing hills and a calm blue river going across the landscape.

Concept Art:
Did a few small scenes to get an idea on what kind of details/perspective I wanted the travel poster to have.
Traditional Drawing Version:
The final traditionally drawn version of the travel poster made on watercolor paper with watercolor pencils.
Digital Painting Version:
Beware of Carterhaugh Travel Poster

Another travel poster that is again based on “The Young Tamlane” story by Mary MacGregor, but instead of a warm and inviting scene. It instead is a scene that is darker in tone and has a bit of a malevolent atmosphere. Involving the ominous face-like cavern with two streams coming out of their eyes and children's shoes littered around multiple entrances leading underground with various
eyes in the sky staring directly at you.

Concept Art:
Again ironing out the details/perspective by drawing out a few scenes.
Traditional Drawing Version:
The final traditionally drawn version of the travel poster made on watercolor paper with watercolor pencils.
Digital Painting Version:
Underground Research Facility Level

This level is a Sci-fi adventure platformer game called "Beyond the Stars" set in outer space with the main theme emphasizing that sense of discovery/exploration. As the main character wakes up in a seemingly abandoned underground research facility with no memory and looking for a way out.

Map Layout:
A rough layout of the level design with details like the lily pads/pond did not make it into the final rendition of the level.
