The images are created in multiple stages, beginning with digital photographs.

I have always been drawn to natural patters and textures in the world around me. It isn't usually the individual element that draws my eye, but the collective forms that emerge when seeing how different elements interact.

I use my photographs to build layered images, built digitally, but more akin to print-making. Single color layers of individual pixels that build on each other to create the final image.

My hope is that these images draw the viewer in to look at the details, while also highlighting a renewed interest in the living world that exists all around us.
