GLOSSARY
A - assist, in a hockey box score
Bender - a player whose ankles bend inwards because his skates don’t fit right, he didn’t tie them right, or he just can’t skate
G - goal, in a hockey box score
Gordie Howe Hat Trick - when a player registers a goal, an assist and a fight all in one game
Hudson Bay Rules - frantic, lawless, no-holds-barred hockey; the referee has stopped calling penalties
Nifty Mittens - highly-skilled at handling the puck
Pigeon - a less-skilled player who scores goals by collecting the rebounds or "trash" of their more talented linemates
PIM - penalty infraction minutes, in a hockey box score; minor penalties are 2 minutes, major penalties, including fighting, are 5 minutes
