After seeing a gap in the market for children's stationary, my proposed concept for The Whitworth Gallery shop is a series of sketchbooks and notebooks with playful layouts.

Made up of two series - hardback and soft cover - the books are aimed at children 8-12 years old. The younger audience is catered for with brightly coloured hardback sketchbooks, while the range of understated soft cover notebooks are intended for the older children. With a variety of patterns made of my own illustrations ranging from floor plan motifs and hand drawn Whitworth screw threads. These books include risograph patterned end papers and digitally printed fabric cloth covers inspired by the terms 'beauty of strangers' and 'hug the outside'.
