This is an ORIGINAL pop art oil painting by Artist Robbie Pelletier.This piece is more than meets the eye.The red and yellow superhero portrayed in the painting is being blown up.On the left, the bright yellow blast pressing the superhero away is being created by a machine-like robot of some sort.On his back ,near his shoulders, is the Earth...The blast represents the one thing we all fear the most at some point in our lives...FAILURE....All the way to the right of the painting there is the World on the superhero's shoulders.Which is kinda self-explanatory,but for the artist Robbie ,the world represents a tremendous responsibility----being a single parent..In the middle there is the superhero.Which symbolizes Robbie himself.A self portrait..almost.Then of course there is that silly looking Robot thing creating an explosion all the way on the left.Why is the robot trying to blow up our superhero.? That thing is actually a very distorted mirror image of the superhero.So in reality the superhero is blowing himself up.
