The Lucifero was the last great aeroengined car of the 1920es, and the first land vehicle to break the wall of 350 kph. It was built on the foundations of its predecessor, the 1924 Fiat Eldridge Mefistofele.
It sported a Fiat AS 34 liter v16 aeronautic engine with more than 600 Bhp. Its chassis was born from the union of two race car chassis from the 1910s.
The Lucifero was the first car to use a six wheels layout with two steering axles, with the goal of improving high speed stability and evenly spread the enormous weight of the engine.
