This package design project for graduate school consisted of
creating a shopping bag, t-shirt wrap and clothing tag using
lines from a selected book. I chose the book 100 Ways to
Save the World by Johan Tell. The book is a step by step list
of simple things anyone can do every day to help the environment.
The design of the bag not only utilized recycled
paper and organic inks, but is intended for multiple use. For
example, the clothing tag doubles as a pocket calendar with
additional trips and tricks for saving the work each month.
The design inspiration for these pieces stemmed from the
legendary Bloomingdale’s shopping bags. The simplistic
design utilizes type and sophisticated jewel tones to capture
and engage the viewer . Thus, inviting them read and
embrace the smaller messages of change. Read Less
