collections - the repertoire of an accomplished fidget
this catalogue is a companion to the exhibition featured within the tank of the design museum throughout december 2011.
the repertoire of an accomplished fidget is an in-depth study into a personal collection of chairs belonging to duncan riches, a man who obviously likes to sit.
this study aims to identify correlations between chairs designed for specific use, and the use then put to those chairs by examining the ergonomics of this relationshiop within the context of a home and a working studio.
the study also aims to provide public knowledge on the act of sitting. being seated is something that 99.9% of the population do daily, often without concious thought for comfort or the consequences of poor seating on the body.
