Web Architecture Blueprint for
National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad
The assignment was to come up with a Web framework to accomodate the internal needs and also to present NID as an institute of repute. After an initial requirements analysis, interviewing various stakeholders such as the Executive Director, Faculty, Departmental Heads and Students, I came up with a blueprint for the Web Infrastructure to be implemented.
The core strategy was to have a tightly-coupled distributed content structure with some independent modules (requiring moderation) being populated by faculty and students and other comprehensive content sections being maintained by a central editorial team. Also the system included social features to being it closer to the way of life - work and general living at NID. The structure was highly flexible accommodating a micro-website for every course and extremely robust keeping in my mind the future scenario of NID having many more campuses. This Web Architecture would be the basis for NID's new website to be launched in 2011.

The following was a Web Architecture proposal to DigiVation - An experience design firm that provides, customer centric, digital platform solutions and digital services to help organizations achieve their business goals. The strategy was to follow a distributed yet tightly coupled content platform which helps DigiVation fulfill it's internal requirements and also extend it's brand identity and collaborate with it's clients.
